300 Houston

I visited 300 Houston the Monday night before Christmas, I've visited 300 Atlanta in the past and had certain expectations about my visit to the local 300 here in Houston.
The atmosphere is great, they have projection screens with a sports game and also with music videos playing all night long, the sound and lighting are very good and appropriate to the ambiance. The only downside to 300 Houston might be one that is probably not an issue on a nightly basis, but the bartender that night was a bit unprofessional and not very accommodating.
I highly suggest 300 Houston. Good place to have a drink and bowl to the beats and scenes of top 40 tunes.
Make sure to order your shot of patron with salt and tell the bartender to put the lime on the side and not dump it in the shot (after half the shot had overflowed I asked the bartender to please remake the shot the right way and he refused by saying he had actually poured more tequila in there than the usual, about an hour later I went back to the bar to get a beer and 2 other guys were standing there wanting a beer and the bartender said " you guys need to wait until I get done with all these tickets here (about 15 tickets were on the service bar) I waited 4 minutes and gave up) Horrible bartender.

Did you say Martini?

If you like martinis you know it can get expensive. I love martinis but I've stopped ordering them because you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes you get a tiny martini, sometimes you get a dirty martini that really tastes like dirty water, sometimes you get a dirty martini that has the right balance of vodka/gin and olive juice but the olives are horrible, and there are a very few times when the size, balance, fruit, and service is exceptional and you get the perfect martini. Well, I ran across a perfect martini at Piatto Ristorante. I ordered a Ketel One, up, dirty, 2 olives, 1 lime wedge, and it was PERFECT! Served in a large martini glass, very nicely chilled.

I highly recommend Piatto, the food was amazing and our server was Luis Montezuma. If you are ever in the Westheimer/Royal Oaks area, and you are craving a nice martini or a fantastic meal you should definitely stop by Piatto.

End the year right with the right music!

This is a Great Idea to get your crowd and your Bartender to move and groove.

Deus is a MUST for New Years!

If you are into celebrating New Years Eve in Style, please check this out.

Deus is a beer I ran across a few years ago in the Atlanta High Museum of Arts wine Tasting. This incredible beer is made with the same process Champagne is made, it also has a bottle that resembles Dom Perignon. It is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

This is a brief explanation of the beer:

DeuS (Brut Des Flandres) is a premium Belgian beer manufactured in Buggenhout, Belgium. Brewed by Bosteels, it is 11.5% ABV and served in 75cl bottles.[1]

During the brewing process, it is fermented over a month with two yeasts, re-fermented near Epernay in Champagne, France and then bottled, after which it is left in a cellar for 9 months and rotated for a week, and then the yeast removed.

The elegant Deus generally costs around $25 per bottle.

Christmas Parties - Company Parties!

This is officially my 4th party in Houston, and it's also the second time I bartend for the same group of people in 1 month. As you can see the word travels and it travels fast.

I don't call myself a simple bartender, I call myself the Houstonbartender.

I don't wear a headband, a wristband, or a bucket of gel in my hair. I wear what you want me to wear, and if it comes down to wearing the already mentioned male accessories than I guess I will look the way you want me to look.

I offer quality service at a very reasonable price, and I have fun doing my job. Specially during Christmas and the Holidays.

Stay tuned for pics.

In the meantime, have some eggnog, slip on an ungly x-mas sweater, and keep yourself warm.
